Membership Renewals
More than two hundred and fifty of you have now renewed your Memberships (and we are also very grateful for the donations - those concerned are much appreciated). Please renew your Membership as soon as you can. We have also gained some new Members so do please make them feel welcome.
Bromley Labour Club always warmly welcomes new members.
But because of national legislation on clubs, we cannot sign you up on the spot. You have to have a proposer and seconder and be approved at a committee meeting.
Both proposers and seconders have to be club members. You do not have to come along to the committee meeting – unless you really want to.
Just go to our Contact Us page to get the phone numbers to ask for a membership form or call in at the club. You have to be aged 18 or over to join. There is a £5 joining fee to pay along with the annual membership cost of £10 – membership runs for the calendar year. You'll more than recuperate the £10 in the lower price of beer and spirits we charge in contrast to most pubs and you will get special members rates for hiring the hall.
While waiting for membership (the committee meets once a month), club members will sign you in – the cost is 50p a time. This is to meet the requirements of the law.
Once we've admitted you, you'll get an electronic security fob to get in at our entrance (on the Waitrose side of the building). Again, sorry about the security but it is what the law requires. Otherwise we would have to have someone permanently on the gate to admit you.
